Went to the doctor today, and I am 2.5cm dilated and 80% effaced. My doctor offered to strip my membranes today if I wanted but I said that I still had a week of work left (and I need that week) so I passed and will just let it go. Our next appointment is on friday the 22nd and I figure if I haven’t progressed significantly at that time, we’ll go ahead and I’ll see what happens after a little help.
Keelyn really does not like being poked at. Every time we’ve done a cervical exam she is angry the rest of the day. First I get hot flashes and then she just constantly kicks at me and I contract off and on. I don’t blame her, honestly. If someone was coming into my warm little area and poking me in the head I’d probably get a little perturbed as well!
I have one last week of work left before my leave and I have about a ton of work left! I’m spending my three day weekend getting it done. I’ve made about a dozen different to-do lists and it seems i can always add something else to them.
I’m going to focus on getting Keelyn’s room all ready for her and just sit with my work laptop until my eyes and brain can’t take it anymore.
