It’s kind of amazing how the closer you get to your due date your attitude changes from “oh god I’m about to give birth!” to “hurry up already, let’s get this show on the road!!!”.
And we have progression...
Went to the doctor today, and I am 2.5cm dilated and 80% effaced. My doctor offered to strip my membranes today if I wanted but I said that I still had a week of work left (and I need that week) so I passed and will just let it go. Our next appointment is on friday the 22nd and I figure if I haven’t progressed significantly at that time, we’ll go ahead and I’ll see what happens...

Wow. Sorry folks for the lack of posting for about a month! I have been super busy with the holidays, work, and being pregnant. It seems that something had to suffer.

One thing I really hate about pregnancy:
You can’t do a normal everyday activity that makes you REALLY uncomfortable if you don’t do it.
I’m being coy, but I’m sure you can guess what I mean.
We went to the bar last night. Yes, I’m horrible. I took my unborn child to a bar. I didn’t drink. I was the usual DD and I got all my 7Ups for free! Everyone was all over my belly, touching and wanting to feel Keelyn kick. The drunker they got the more they wanted to feel her. I think maternity leave should begin the minute you find out you’re pregnant. I don’t think people realize how hard it is to function normally AND be pregnant. My brain is so all over the place and I feel insanely stressed out about little things. My mind is always thinking “baby” and everything else just takes a major back seat.

For some reason I need a hug today. And a piece of chocolate cake.
Ryan got a work phone call at 1230 tonight. He runs a residential treatment center so these phone calls are not a rarity in our household. It was a new staff who didn’t know any better.
And now I’m awake and have been for over an hour now. Keelyn is also awake and moving around, which makes me feel a little better that I’m not the only one.
